1/ Ian Russell Chief Executive
Ian established RD Investments, a property partnership
with broad residential and commercial property
interests, in 1984, after completing a degree in
economics and accountancy at Edinburgh University.
Between 1997 and 2003, Ian lived in and operated his
business interests from Dubai establishing an extensive
network of contacts there and throughout the wider
GCC region. Ian is is the driving force behind the
expansion of the Caledonian Group and, along with CEO
of Al Mazaya Holdings Khaled Esbaitah, was responsible
for brokering the unique middle eastern alliance that
the Company enjoys with Al Mazaya.
2/ Keith Murdoch Finance Director
Keith is a Chartered Accountant and Partner in Springfords LLP, an Edinburgh-based firm of chartered accountants, where he is responsible for the firm's corporate advisory services. Leading a team of specialists, Keith has worked directly on company restructuring, management buyouts/buyins and fund-raising activities. Keith has considerable experience of the Dubai real estate market and will apply his experience of analysis and financial modelling to identify and realise profitable opportunities for the Company.
3/ David Alexander Non-Executive Director
David Alexander is sole proprietor of D.J. Alexander, one of Scotland's largest independent residential letting agencies, with offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dubai, with London scheduled to open in early 2008. The firm also has an expanding sales division, which it launched in 2006. David Alexander's experience of the property market also includes residential investment, being a director of the Scottish Residential Property Fund, which has an extensive UK and overseas portfolio.
4/ Keith Cox Non-Executive Director
Based in Dubai, Keith is joint owner of the PK Group, which includes PK Properties, PK Rent and PK Retreats, the latter specialising in five-star short-term holiday lets in Dubai. Keith has been established in Dubai since 1997 in a variety of corporate ventures, but has specialised in property since the inception of the freehold market in 2001. Both Keith and his partner Paul Duffin have specialised knowledge of the letting market, both long- and short-term and are experienced in the purchasing, furnishing and management of the 500 properties that are under PK's management.
5/ Scott Doak Non-Executive Director
Based in Dubai, Scott is a Scottish Chartered Accountant. In 1988 he joined PWC in Dubai and gained a wide experience in the local business market, primarily in the provision of audit services but also in the area of management consultancy. Currently, Scott is Chief Financial Officer at Lamprell, a UK AIM-listed company, based in the Middle East. Through a variety of ventures, he has considerable experience of the Dubai real estate market.
6/ Bill Tatham Non-Executive Director
Bill is Managing Director of two boutique sister fund management groups, Frontier Capital (Bermuda) Ltd and Alpinvesta Asset Management S.A.. He has worked in the offshore wealth management market for 15 years, focusing on the construction and marketing of offshore investment products. Formerly a main board director of Towry Law Plc in the UK, Bill has lived and worked outside of the UK for most of the past 15 years. His current role focuses on the design, incorporation and marketing of sophisticated offshore investment products, including property funds.
